Top Travel Destination in Philippines

Living in an archipelago, it is quite hard for a traveller like me to visit all the beautiful places in the Philippines. It is either you do it by plane or do it by boat, island after island. And as a working girl, it is hard to insert all the beautiful places here and there in my tight schedule.

Having only one day off in a week and 12 days vacation leave in a YEAAAAR!. No sick leave. No mandatory leave. WHATTT? Department of labor? please! Haha! So here ill discuss the TOP TRAVEL DESTINATIONS THAT I VISITED FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS!

1. El Nido, Palawan

Ill never forget El nido. The lagoons. Small, Big and Secret lagoon. Snorkeling at Shimizu Island. The clear blue water. Geez! How i wish i could go back!

I will never ask why Palawan is dubbed as the most beautiful island here in Philippines. Living in an island myself, there’s nothing like el nido. There’s nothing like Palawan. You can choose 3 different tours because el nido has lots of islets. We chose tour A that time. Having lunch at secret lagoon, basking in the sun, snorkeling at shihmizu island, sipping coco while enjoying the view, kayakking and swimming. It felt like a dream for me to be in palawan. If you happen to visit Philippines, never forget to visit Palawan. A must see Paraiso!

2. Zambales

My first travel adventure. I never knew that zambales has its own beauty. All i know is it is part of luzon, a part of the philippine archipelago aside from that NOTHING. So when my friend asked me if i want to go to zambales I said yes without knowing what to expect and what to see. Of I went to zambales, and i saw two beautiful cove, anawangin and nagsasa. Camping and bunfire. Drinking and getting to know other people. The beach. The mountains. Capones Lighthouse and a little island named Camara. I am in awe in what i saw. And after that, i fell in love with travelling. How beautiful the world can be despite of every imperfections by human community. There you’ll really get in touch with nature, no wifi, no electricity, no hotels, just camping and bunfire. They do have electricity but they only use solar energy so if you want to go to zambales bring your own powerbank with you. And oh! Their is no cellphone signal in zambales. Want to disconnect with the world? GO TO ZAMBALES!.

3. Cebu

Oslob Whale Shark Watching

Osmeña Peak – Dalaguete, Cebu

Badian-Alegria, Canyoneering

Bantayan Island

My home island – Cebu. Located in the Visayas region Cebu is known as the Queen City of the South. Cebu has many things to offer. There is Badian Canyoneering, where you jump off waterfalls and walk on hard terrain. Oslob Whale Shark Watching, where you get to swim with the gentle giants – butanding. Travel North of Cebu and visit, Bantayan Island, Virgin Island, Malapascua Island, and Medellin funtastic Island. Or you climb the highest peak in cebu Osmeña Peak or Go to kandungaw peak (see last blog). Or visit Sumilon Island on South. Make cebu as your next travel adventure. Di gyud mo magmahay! Byahe na mo sa sugbo!

4. Boracay

The long stretch of white beach housing the 3 stations in boracay where all the party and hotels are located. The party island because of clubs and pubs along the beach. It also has lots of rides and adventure for all the adrenaline junkies out there. I must say it is quite overcrowded in boracay all year round. I went there on july and i thought it has less people because summer season in philippines has ended but I was wrong. Despite of having lots of tourist, boracay is still a must see. I dont think that boracay has the best beach but damn boracay has the best powdery white sand. I went to puka beach and if the famous white beach is not as crowded as it is,maybe it is as beautiful as puka. If you ever go to boracay, never miss to see its beautiful sunset. Thats a must see.

5. Apo Island, Dumaguete

Swim with the butandings in oslob and hop to another island from dumaguete to swim with the sea turtles – pawikan. This small island in dumaguete is a marine sanctuary. They protect and took pride with whats underneath. People and marine biologist work hand in hand not to disturb the marine life in Apo island. You can either snorkel or go diving. But if you just want to see the pawikans, snorkeling will do.
