QUIRINO PROVINCE (named after the Late President Elpidio Quirino) acquired its juridical personality as a result of the division of the province of Nueva Vizcaya through the enactment of RA 4734. It was later amended through RA 6394 separating the sub-province of Quirino from its mother province of Nueva Vizcaya and constituting it into a regular province. The province was formally established on February 10, 1972.

Getting There: Several Bus Lines (Florida, Five Star and Northern Luzon Buslines) ply the Manila-Quirino route daily. NA Liner, KMS Bus, Coda Bus Lines and various PUVs also service the Baguio-Maddela route. Aircon Buses also ply the Manila-Santiago (Isabela) route. From the terminal, take a van or jeepney via Diffun, Cabarroguis, Aglipay, Maddela and Nagtipunan.

Ganano Falls. Located at Diffun is an 80 meter towering falls with torrents of water pouring down into a chair-like stone formation. Trek and pass through rivers and streams to reach the falls. Enjoy swimming while reuniting with nature in the surrounding forests and fish sanctuary creeks.

Quirino Watersports Complex. It is a cluster of facilities strategically located at the Capital town of Quirino Province. It is where nature, adventure and comfort meet. Its wake boarding site will trigger your sense adventure.

Aglipay Caves & Campsite. A 37-chamber cave system ideal for spelunking, with eight chambers developed for cave enthusiasts with different levels of ability. Also features modern comforts for seminar s, field trips, youth activities and environmental camping.

Governor’s Rapids. Famous for its gigantic limestone formations which served as shelter for Dumagats and adventurers. Tributary of mighty Cagayan River which has been awarded as one of the cleanest inland bodies of water in the region. Best for boating, swimming, sightseeing and caving.

Tinyente Cave. Part of Governor’s Rapids adventure is a cave with waterfalls inside. You need to pass through the dark, narrow and slippery path to reach the waterfalls.

Siitan Nature’s Park. From the Ilocano word “Siit”, which means fishbone, this park is a part of Cagayan River with abundance of fish. Experience a non-stop jaw-dropping wonders of nature while on board in a native kayak.

Bimmapor Rock Formation. Part of Siitan river cruise is a ship like rock formation. Take a rest and enjoy the clear waters while listening to the songs of wild birds on its forested river banks.

Diamond Cave. This limestone cave holds uncountable dripping stalactites and glowing stalagmites along with the colony of bats that reside in the area. Get wet as you go swimming in its 6 feet depth subterranean river.
